The Westlake tennis team got off to a good start for the spring season with a tournament win at the Lake Travis-Austin Tennis Academy Invitational last weekend.
The Chaparrals totaled 58 points overall to take first place, with Lake Travis’ 54 points good for second place.
Lampasas finished third with 53 points, and Bowie was fourth with 44.
Westlake tallied two first place finishes at the tournament, three second places, one third and one fourth overall. Next up is Westlake’s own co-hosted tournament, the Chap-Maroon Invitational Feb. 15.

Meredith Hopson, first place in Girls A Singles; Fernanda Contreras, second place in Girls A Singles; Casey Sutton and Nemo Niess, first place in A Mixed Doubles; Charles Tan; second place in A Boys Singles; Jacqueline Patterson and Hannah Sutton, second place in A Girls Doubles; Allie Carlisle and Ali Young, fourth place in A Girls Doubles; and Kristen Mele and Byrn Rathegaber, third place in B Girls Doubles.
